Chicago to Toronto–9th May 2016

Early start today, catching a 9:20am flight on a Monday – bad decision!! We had to deal with crazy Chicago traffic requiring over an hour to reach the airport, and that was with leaving the hotel at 6:10am!!
Tip: if flying out off Chicago on Mondays, book flights around midday or later, that way you can leave for the airport post the morning rush.

Airport check-in was smooth, however the security screening was shockingly slow, we were in the queue for another 30 minutes  Steaming mad, security in US is very strict so allow enough time for these delays or you could end up missing your flight.

Arrived into Toronto around midday, Pearson Airport terminal is very nice and new (well it looks new), not like LAX.
Nita’s masi and masa were there to receive us (Vrajlal and Vanita Khatri), they were our host for the next 4 days.
Drive time to their home was only around 15mins, a far cry from Chicago!

Time for some good home lunch, then a break, early morning start had both me and Nita tired.

Late in the afternoon, short visit to the Square One mall, one of the larger malls of Toronto. Was impressed with the range of big branded shops in the mall, unfortunately shopping was on hold till NY, only window shopping now.

Back at home, had a great dinner with family then off to bed early, tomorrow was an early start, Masi and Masa were taking us to Niagara staying overnight, scheduled departure was 9am.
